11:00 am – 6:00 pm – Packet Pick-Up (Shirt & Bib)…..Jr. Seau Beach Community Center, 300 The Strand N, Oceanside, CA 92054

- If you purchased Mail My Packet, you do not need to come to the packet pick-up.
- You can pick-up for someone else as long as you have a photo of their ID (e.g. they text you a picture of their ID) or their confirmation QR code.
- You can pick-up race morning starting at 6:00a but lines will be very long. So we STRONGLY recommend coming on Wednesday. See below for Thursday pick-up information.

PARKING/SHUTTLES/DROP-OFF
We have numerous parking options:
- Parking is FREE in all city lots on Thanksgiving morning until 11:00am
- The course is subject to change and/or closure due to emergency at OPD/OFD discretion
- Do Not Park at Walmart or Harbor Freight lots on Mission Ave. You will be towed!
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
There will be numerous road closures the morning of the race. So visit the DRIVING DIRECTIONS page (scroll partway down the page) to read more on how to drive to the race, as it depends on your arrival time and the direction you are driving from.
DROP-OFF LOCATIONS
If you prefer to be dropped off, please utilize these free drop off locations:
1. Civic Center Dr & North Horne St.
2. North Freeman St. and Seagaze Dr.
FREE SHUTTLE PARKING
We will be running a complimentary parking shuttle service from the below listed locations from 5:30am – 11:00am.
The pick up location is Barnes St./Mission Ave. The bus will drop participants at the Start Line at Ditmar/Civic Center Dr. The shuttles will start at 5:30am and will run until 11:00am. You can find shuttle parking at:

Brooks Street Swim Center | 130 Brooks St.
ADA PARKING
Handicapped spaces are available in lots on Pier View Way or Seagaze Dr., west of Coast Hwy that have existing handicapped spaces. Additional handicap spots are available via Myers St. lots adjacent to Mission, Pier View, and Seagaze west of Coast Hwy. Take Oceanside Blvd to Myers Street and drive North to lots.
DOG POLICY
We ask you leave your dogs at home. Unfortunately with so many people running in very narrow areas, it is not safe to have dogs during the 5K or Kids Run.
STROLLER POLICY
We are stroller friendly!! If you plan to walk or go at a leisurely pace, we ask you to start with the strollers and walkers in the back of each race.

All awards will be distributed shortly after each race. We will have awards for both Local (Oceanside residents) and Open (non-residents):
- Early Wave 5K – Top 3 in Each Category (Male and Female):
- Top 3 Overall Male & Female (local and open)
- 12 & Under, 13-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 25-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ (local and open)
- Main Wave 5K – Top 3 in Each Category (Male and Female):
- Top 3 Overall Male & Female (local and open)
- 12 & Under, 13-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 25-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ (local and open)
- Kids 1/5 Mile – Top 3 in Each Category:
- 4 & Under, 5 – 6 years old

Awards must be picked up from the awards tent post-race. You must pick up your award after the race to receive it!
COSTUME AND TEAM AWARDS
We will also be awarding Oceanside restaurant gift certificates for largest teams and best costume! The top 5 largest teams and the top 3 best costumes will receive gift certificates.
FREE RACE PHOTOS
Race photos will be taken along the course and at the finish provided by 3PIXstudiosfor FREE! You will receive an e-mail with a link to these photos within 2-3 days after the event. These complimentary photos will be free for you to download and share! Be sure to tag @sdrunningco and #osideturkeytrot.
How does it work to receive your photos? When participating, wear your race bib on the FRONT of your shirt/body and have it clearly visible to the photography team on course. We will upload the thousands of photos to Race Roster (our registration provider) where it will automatically read your bib number in the photo (if it’s visible). Following the event we’ll send you a link to search for photos that are a match for your number!

GEAR CHECK
There will be a gear check available near the start line at the Civic Center Plaza near the water fountains. Please bring your own reusable bag. We will attach your gear check tag that is attached to your bib. All gear MUST be picked up by 11:00a on Thanksgiving.
RESTROOMS AND AID STATIONS
We will have portable restrooms located at the start and finish line, as well as water and bathrooms on course near the halfway point.
MEDICAL
If you experience a medical problem on course, go to the nearest aid station where a medical representative will be called to assist you. If you are unable to finish the race, shuttle transportation to the finish can also be called from every aid station. Additionally, a SAG vehicle will be picking up participants who need transport to the finish. Additional medical staff equipped with first aid and comfort supplies will be located at the final aid stations to provide support as well.
WEATHER
The forecast looks great for event day! We are anticipating a partly cloudy morning with cooler temperatures in the high 40s during the 6:45a 5K and in the high 50s for the 8:05a 5K.
