What is included in my race registration?
- All participants receive a San Diego Resolution Run shirt, custom finisher medal, bib and chip-timed results.
Where is the start line for the 5K, 10K & Half Marathon?
- The 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon will all start from the same location on East Mission Bay Dr. CLICK HERE to see location of start line.
Where can I see the course maps?

Is this race chip-timed?
- YES! All participants will receive a timing chip on their bib. NOTE – DO NOT REMOVE the timing chip from the back of the bib.
Is this event stroller friendly?
- Absolutely! Strollers are welcome in all waves.
Is there a cut-off time for the Half Marathon?
- YES, you must maintain 3 hour and 15 minute finishing pace or 15 minute per mile pace. If you are off this pace you will be moved up along the course and you will still be able to cross the finish line and receive your finisher medal.
Can I bring my pet?
- Unfortunately, NO. We ourselves would love to be able to bring our own little furry running companions – however our venue’s rules prevent us from allowing pets.
Will there be a gear check?
- Yes, there will be gear check. Just fasten the tear-off tab at the bottom of your bib to your bag and hand it to bag check crew. The crew will only give you your bag back if you have the matching bib. Please provide your own bag and we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Are there Age Group Awards?
- YES! The 5K, 10K and Half Marathon will each have awards for: top 3 overall, 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ (male and female categories for all these age groups)
Can I get a refund on my registration?
- All race registrations are non-refundable. But we do offer a flexible transfer or deferral policy (see below).
Can I transfer my registration to another person or defer to a future San Diego Running Co. event?
- Transfers – Participant to Participant: Transfers are available on each event’s registration site. Simply select the “Transfer” button located on the right side of the event’s Race Roster registration page and follow the prompts. A $15 transfer fee applies. The transfer window expires 72 HOURS prior to the event date.
- Transfers – Changing Sub-Events: Sub-event transfers are available on each event’s registration site. Simply select the “Transfer” button located on the right side of the home page and follow the prompts. Refunds will not be applied for difference in sub-event pricing. The transfer window expires 72 HOURS prior to the event date.
- Transfer to Virtual: Participants that cannot attend the event but wish to participate virtually may transfer to virtual up to event day. Simply email our team at info@sandiegorunningco.com and we will mail your goods to your house! Additional mailing fees will apply.
- Deferrals: Participants are extended a one-time deferral option to either the following year’s event or another SDRC equivalent event. Deferral requests must be made ONE WEEK prior to the event date. A $15 deferral fee applies. Email us at info@sandiegorunningco.com with your deferral request.
- Deadline: All transfer and deferral requests must be received by the deadlines listed above, no exceptions.
What do I need to do to initiate a transfer to another person or defer to a future San Diego Running Co. event?
- Email our team at info@sandiegorunningco.com. If transferring, please provide the email address of the person that you will be transferring the registration to. If deferring, please let our team know the new San Diego Running Co. event you would like to join. The event must be the same or similar distance (e.g. 5K/10K for another 5K/10K; half marathon for another half marathon) and the event must occur within 1 year of the event you can no longer join.
