2020 Corporate Dash Launched as a Virtual Challenge

San Diego, CA, September 8, 2020 – San Diego Running Co., San Diego’s premier race management company, has reimagined their annual corporate 5K event, re-launching it as the Corporate Dash: 2020 Virtual Challenge.

The 2020 Corporate Dash 5K was originally scheduled for June and postponed to September in light of the pandemic. But as it quickly became apparent that an in-person event would not happen, the San Diego Running Co. team worked tirelessly to determine an alternative.

“The annual Corporate Dash event represented a night of team comradery, wellness, friendly competition and fun,” said Eric Marenburg Chief Running Officer of San Diego Running Co. “We knew this event provided so much value to these companies and their employees. So we put our heads together and reimagined a concept that could still deliver the same value virtually.”

The new concept will be an interactive 7-week virtual challenging happening from October 1st – November 15th. Participants will walk and run as many miles as they can over those 7 weeks and upload their mileage to our tracking platform. They will be able to see their progress on an interactive map of California, as well as their team progress along an interactive map of the US!

Along the way, San Diego Running Co. will be sending training tips, virtual encouragement as they reach various milestones and providing weekly challenges to maintain the excitement.

The event will be benefiting San Diego Food Bank (about SDFB) by donating a portion of the proceeds to this critical organization as well as encouraging participants to make additional donations.
